Guided Tours

ORVIETO

Etruscan city, famous for its imposing Gothic Cathedral, its medieval palaces, and for its white wine.

SPELLO

Marvelous medieval village with arches and gates dating from the Roman era, built on a beautiful, gentle mound of olive groves.

ASSISI

The City of Saint Francis, featuring many churches among the most beautiful in the whole world, such as the Basilica of Saint Francis, Santa Chiara, and Saint Rufino.

DERUTA

Cradle of the manufacturing and artistic decorating of terracotta and ceramics, tradition that dates from the XIII Century. The tour includes a visit of the most ancient laboratory in town.

MONTECASTELLO DI VIBIO

Ancient medieval village, home of the world’s smallest theatre built entirely of carved wood, in Goldoni’s style.

PERUGIA

Etruscan, Roman, and Medieval town, home of the ancient University, and the more modern University for Foreign Students, is well known for its Fountain “Maggiore”, the medieval palazzi, the “Rocca Paolina”, which is a 16th-century fortress now featuring a stairway that connects it to the city center.

SPOLETO

Home of the “Festival dei Due Mondi”, the city features imposing Roman structures, a temple, the anphitheater, and a superb cathedral with bizantine mosaics.

FERENTILLO-S. PIETRO IN VALLE-CASCATE DELLE MARMORE

Ferentillo: ancient village, with a church that conserves mummies in its crypt;

S.Pietro in Valle: 10th-century abbey with Roman frescos

Cascate delle Marmore: created by a Roman consul, these waterfalls, in three huge steps, are the tallest in Europe.

GUBBIO

Ancient medieval Umbrian city, it has kept its medieval aspect, and it is replete with extraordinary monuments such as Palazzo dei Consoli, Palazzo Cutale, and the Gothic Cathedral.

Each of the above tours costs €50 per person, and it includes transportation with private vehicle, and an afternoon with a local guide.

MOLINO DI CAMPAGNA-SANTA MARIA DELLA TORRICELLA (3 hours)

Cost: €75 for 1 person, €45 per person for two people, €30 per person for three or more people.

COOKING CLASS

Three hours of cooking class, with description and illustration of the produce and ingredients used, with all their characteristics. All the ingredients for the recipes are included, and at the end a meal will be eaten together by all the participants.

WINE TASTING

Discover and taste wines produced by the “Vineria”, with the help of an expert sommelier. The tasting includes three wines typical of the region, accompanied with bruschettas, white and red focaccias, and cured meats produced by the house.

“CHIACCHIERIAMO!!” (LET’S CHAT)

For those interested in learning or perfecting their Italian, an opportunity to converse in a relaxed setting, seated at a table sipping tea, or while strolling on the streets of Todi!

Alicia de Larrocha Memorial Prize

Scholarship award given by Alicia Torra de Larrocha in honor of her mother, the late, great Spanish pianist. The prize is given also in celebration of Alicia de Larrocha’s decades-long friendship with Maestro Eduardo Delgado. It will be awarded to a young talent showing great promise for a future career. The recipient of the Alicia de Larrocha Memorial prize will receive €300 and a Diploma, and is going to be announced during the closing ceremony of the Festival, the evening of August 17th.

Ginastera Prize

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the great Argentinian composer Alberto Ginastera’s passing. Thanks to the generosity of his daughter, Georgina Ginastera, TIMM 2023 participants can win the Ginastera Prize. The Prize consists of €300 and a Diploma. In order to be considered for the Ginastera Prize, participants must perform an original Ginastera piece for solo piano, of their own choice and of any duration, but not to exceed 15 minutes, in occasion of their shared solo recital. Participants who choose to compete for the Ginastera Prize must submit the repertoire on their application form. The recipient of the Ginastera Prize will be announced during the closing ceremony of the Festival, the evening of August 17th.
